NEW COLUMN: RON ARTEST VS. METTA WORLD PEACE
There is a battle going on for the heart and mind of Ronald William Artest, Jr. and unfortunately, not even one of the league’s premier defenders over the past 12 years can stop Metta World Peace. Ron Artest, the Hennessy-drinking, fan-punching, former world champion, professional basketball player of yore, is being buried under a pile of shameless and egregious self-promotion so high, we may never see Ron Ron again.
I love Ron Ron, been a huge fan his entire career, but there is one thing that is obviously being left out of this article:
Ron Artest is crazy. Like, actually insane. And that is why he is doing all this… I’d much rather have a “look at me” Metta World Peace than a fan punching Ron Artest. Both have on court intensity, both work hard, and both helped the Lakers win. So, it doesn’t matter what he does in the offseason….
